Dr.Vitaliy Veklich is the head of Ukrainian school of Ilizarov method in orthopedics. Inspired by Ilizarov’s method and Ilizarov fixator he created  Ilizarov-Veklich devices – the external devices for limb lengthening, deformities correction and trauma healing.
Currently Dr.Veklcih offers unique treatment solutions  at Ladisten, the private clinic he is the head of and which is located in Kiev, Ukraine.

Curriculum vitae

Moved by the desire to improve people’s lives, Vitaliy Veklich started as a student at Pirogov’s Vinnitsa Medical Institute. During six years of study till 1979 he’s getting knowledge and experience that along with his . In 1977 he wins a Gold medal for his scientific work “Lymphography for lymphogranulomatous patients” on the All-Union Children’s Surgeons Congress. Upon graduation at the institute, Vitaliy Veklich enters Children’s Surgeons Intership and at the same time proceeds working as orthopaedist-traumatologist in Vinnitsa Children’s clinical hospital.

1983—1986 Vitaliy Veklich gets post-graduate study in Kiev Scientific-Research Orthopaedic Institute and on graduates with a thesis “Transosseous osteosynthesis of transcondylar and supracondylar fractures of children’s humeral bone”.

1986—1993 Vitaliy Veklich works in Kiev Scientific-Research Orthopaedic Institute as orthopaedic and traumatologic surgeon (1986—1988), main orthopaedic and traumatologic surgeon (1988—1991), head orthopaedic and traumatologic surgeon (1991—1993).
Since 1993 Doctor Vitaliy Veklich is the head of his Orthopaedic Clinic “Ladisten”. During his orthopaedic and traumatologic experience he modifies the Ilizarov fixator to Ilizarov-Veklich device. Ilizarov-Veklich device is proved to have high margin of safety,  gives more comfort and flexibility to both – patients and surgeons.

Dr.Veklich has published more than 50 scientific articles about new methods of threatment in fields of orthopaedy and traumatology, Ilizarov method,  fixators’ improvements and treatment of fractures. His scientific monograph “Foundations controlled transosseous osteosynthesis” was published in 2003, Moskow, Russia.

Since 1993 Dr. Veklich and his staff assists patients from all over the world, including USA, Canada, Australia, Philippines, Japan, England, Ireland, France, Germany Israel and others.
